De 23 de Setembro a 31 de Dezembro de 2005, durante o Ano do Brasil em França, os brasileiros Laura Taves, Paula Delecave, Pedro Évora e Pedro Rivera, em colaboração com a ONG Enda Brasil e com o apoio do comitê de mecenas franceses e da RATP, transformaram a estação do Luxemburgo através de uma montagem de fotografias à escala real de uma favela e seus habitantes.

O projeto Favelité pretende fornecer aos cidadãos das grandes metrópoles do mundo um acesso privilegiado à realidade das favelas, rompendo com essa associação constante com a segregação social. O objetivo é mostrar a favela é um lugar onde é possível viver, onde a cultura e a estrutura social são continuamente reinventadas.

From September 23th to December 31^st of 2005, during the Year of Brazil in France, Brazilian architects Laura Taves, Paula Delecave, Pedro Évora and Pedro Rivera, in collaboration with the NGO Enda Brazil and with the support of the French patron committee and the RATP, transformed the Luxembourg station through a full scale photo montage of a Favela and its inhabitants.

The Favelité project aims to provide to the citizens of largest cities in the world privileged access to the reality of slums, breaking with this constant association with social segregation. The goal is to show the Favela is a place where you can live, where culture and social structure are continually reinvented.
